Friday fun video --The First Help Desk

Now that I've -- yay! -- turned in The Homecoming, sexy SEAL Sax Douchett's story, this week, I've been cleaning old files off my computer while trying to decide whether to download the new Snow Leopard operating system, spring for a new computer, or take this one to the Mac "geniuses" and see if they can get it back up to speed. (If you're a true genius, would working in a Mac retail store at the mall really be your first career choice?)

But I digress. . . For anyone who's ever called a tech help desk, or who's worked in tech support, enjoy this English version of an original Norwegian video:

I'm curious if the Shelter Bay series will intersect with the High Risk series. I only recently discovered the High Risk series and found I couldn't put them down until I read al 4! I'd like to keep following the characters from High Risk, but am not clear if Shelter Bay is picking up, or taking a fork in the road. thank you.

Hi Brett,

First of all, I'm delighted you enjoyed the High Risk books. The Shelter Bay books will intersect with the them, there just won't be battle scenes and as much suspense.

In The Homecoming, out next July, Sax Douchett, Quinn's spotter returns home to Shelter Bay wanting to put the war and death behind him, only to have his dog dig up a bone on the beach below his house. So, there's a murder mystery (actually a couple) to solve and some excitement.

Then, in the second book, a Marine war photojournalist, who's not in the High Risk books, but is Sax's brother's close friend, comes to town, planning to leave right after Sax's brother's wedding. But an abused dog, a determined veterinarian heroine and a bunch of foster kids provide obstacles to that idea. This one doesn't have any bad guy type suspense. At least not at this time, but that can always change during the writing. (I've just begun it.)

Then future books will include medic Lucas Chaffee and Conn, the mysterious Irishman from Shattered, who owned the yacht they used on their rescue mission. And now you know just about everything I do about the series. LOL

Thanks for asking! If you'd like updates, you can subscribe to my e-newsletter at my website.

Thanks so much for responding! Looks like I'll be reading the Shelter Bay books as well. I love how realistic these "warriors" are...and love their continuing friendships post-deployment.

Happy writing!

Joann,
I have Lepord on my imac, but it came with Snow Lepord. Apparently all you have to do is stick the CD in the computer.
Anyway, Looking forward to Sax's story. When will it be out?
Thanks
Cait
