Friday Photo -- Doonagore Castle at Sunset
To celebrate this month's re-release of one of my personal favorite books, A Woman's Heart (1st in my Irish trilogy and very close to my own heart), today's Friday photo of Doonagore Castle is from Doolin, a seaside town in southwest County Clare, just up the road from the famed Cliffs of Mohr on the breathtakingly beautiful west coast.
Doolin, which is also close to the Burren, is the traditional music capital of the county and rousing seisiúns can be enjoyed nightly in the pub.
Although the Castlelough of my trilogy is a fictional town, to my mind, it's always been located in County Clare, and like Doonagore Castle, looks out across the Atlantic my grandparents crossed to their new home in America.
