Operation Write Home Sketch Card Challenge #165

When I saw this Sunday's Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps Sketch Challenge, I wanted to go cheery because I tend to make most of my cards cards for kids.  Although I have jars of color-coded ribbon, I don't tend to use it a lot, and also didn't have a piece in the bright green I needed.

Here's the inspiration sketch:

And here's my take on it (in real life it's brighter than how it shows on my screen):

The linen look cardstock is from DCWV, the papers and sentiment are from Creative Imaginations' Make A Wish 6x6 pad, and the border was cut with a Martha Stewart punch. And looking at the other much classier cards that have been shared so far, I've decided that my inner child must be five years old.  LOL

Have a great week ahead!

xo,

JoAnn

JoAnn, This card is great for a child and quite a few adults I know. LOL Love the two different patterned papers and the sentiment is so appropriate for the paper. ice Job.

I think this is a great card for anyone-- it is bright, happy and I love the sentiment! That is one of the things I love about card making- we can get in touch with all sides of ourselves-- the kid, the diva, the gentle heart.... I bet this is one of the first cards picked from the box--cheery and eye catching!

Glad your inner kid is five because this is such a fun card! Love the banner element in place of ribbon, plus all the cheerful colors and patterns.

Great card with that sketch! I've been scrapbooking this weekend too, but I mostly do 12 x 12 LO's. :)
