This week's Friday photo is one I posted on Facebook the other day. (And if you're on FB, where I chat with readers almost every day, I'd love to have you visit.)
A bit of backstory: Tuesday Sweetie and I took a ferry to one of our Puget Sound Islands, so we decided to treat our three rescued dogs to a spa day at Friendly Grove, their fave place to hang out when they can't hang with us.
Well, it turns out that one of the other dog's "mom" was having a birthday party CATERED (!!!) at the spa for her dog. With different flavors of cakes! I did not ask if funny hats was part of the catering package.
When Sweetie went to pick them up at the end of the day, Jessie, the German Pinscher, had white stripes on her nose. Which apparently turned out to be from her diving face first into one of the cakes. She's spent a year being trained to be a hospital/nursing home visitation dog, but unfortunately, I forgot to teach her ladylike dog party manners. Though, as many friends have reminded me this week, all bets are off when it comes to cake. :)
Have a great weekend! Heads up: Teaser Tuesdays will resume with excerpts from Christmas in Shelter Bay, Cole and Kelli's prequel to the series so many readers have asked for, on October 1st.
